Letter from the Founder

Dear Triple Sweet Customer,

Triple Sweet was born out of necessity – the necessity that comes from having a young child who tends to lose one of her earrings.

That was the problem in my house during the summer of 2008, when my 2-year-old daughter managed to lose several of the earrings she had received from my family members in Panama. I sent a handful of remaining pieces back to my sister-in-law, asking that she do her best to find matches for each of the singles that were left over.

While I was looking for earrings to match my daughter’s, my other sister-in-law, who lives near me in Westchester, was having trouble finding gold earrings for her 8-year-old. She liked the cute ones I had been receiving from Panama and wanted to know if I could get some for my niece.

With earrings on their way from Panama — and my mother coming back to the U.S. from a trip to Colombia with additional earrings – I knew it was time to begin introducing these unique pieces to a wider audience here at home. I was also committed to offering the earrings in threes, as well as twos, so that there would always be a spare available to those youngsters inclined to lose them.

My collection of hard-to-find earrings continues to grow, and I now have suppliers in the U.S. as well as South America — providing girls with a selection of more than 100 pairs of earrings from the time they are babies right through their teen years.

Best-sellers include flowers, hearts, butterflies, hoops, pearls, ladybugs and peace signs. The earrings come in 14K and 18K yellow gold and white gold, and they can be purchased in threes. Should a child lose one, she knows the replacement is already available.

No more crying when an earring appears lost forever, because that’s what Triple Sweet is all about — making girls happy!
